About the artist: Tressa Mae is a Pacific Northwest artist working primarily in acrylic on birch panel. With a background spanning photography, illustration, and graphic design, she turned her attention to painting following a life-altering illness that reshaped her relationship with time, purpose, future dreams — transforming pain into visual storytelling. Her contemporary still lifes are inspired by Old World Dutch painting and East Asian aesthetics, particularly their approaches to space, balance, restraint, and presence. She is new to showing her work as of this past July and has exhibited throughout the Seattle area, including the Bellevue Art Fair and the Arts of the Terrace Juried Art Show, where two of her works received Honorable Mentions. Through her paintings, Tressa explores memory, impermanence, and the quiet beauty found in every stage of life.
